The Beginning
How It All Began
The story of Sankassapura Sri Sambuddharaja Buddhist Mansion begins with a small group of devoted Sri Lankan families in the 1980s, carrying with them not only their hopes for a new life but also their deep faith in the Buddha, the Dhamma, and the Sangha.
Gathering in private homes for Poya observances and Dhamma discussions, they shared a common dream: to build a temple โ a proper place of worship, cultural refuge, and spiritual nourishment โ in their new home.
Through years of tireless effort, community fundraising, and the blessings of venerable monks from Sri Lanka, that dream was realized. Today, our temple stands as a testament to faith, sacrifice, and the enduring power of the Dhamma.

"A community united in faith can move mountains โ and build temples."
